Stephen Hurford - Development and New Homes

Stephen Hurford entered the estate agency profession in 1972 before joining Edward Erdman in 1981 where he became an Associate Director of the Residential Division. In 1989 he was one of the first estate agents to operate in Hungary, advising a district council on residential regeneration. Stephen specialises in new developments and investment consultancy work, and is a director of Merlion Housing Association.

David Salvi - Research and Marketing

David Salvi began his career in Mayfair with Edward Erdman in 1983, where he acquired all round knowledge of residential agency, and built up a network of clients. In 1990 he was appointed Marketing Director of Barnard Marcus, part of the Royal SunAlliance group. David's specialist skills include new media, branding and press relations, and he has supervised the sale and marketing of some of London's most prestigious property.

Daniel Lachs - Investment Director

Daniel Lachs has over 30 years experience covering every aspect of the residential market, and specialises in the sale and acquisition of all types of residential investments, conversions / refurbishments and developments. Prior to joining Hurford Salvi Carr, Daniel worked for 18 years with NAI Gooch Webster (formerly J Trevor & Sons) as a director and head of the Residential Department advising Banks, Financial Institutions and Insolvency Practitioners.

Jim Thornton - Management Director

Jim Thornton is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Builder, and has specialised in design-and-build projects winning a Chartered Institute of Building "Ian Murray Leslie Award" for a paper on the involvement of contractors in the design process. Since 1990 Jim has specialised in Property Management and now oversees Hurford Salvi Carr's block and individual property management teams.

Derek Lewis - Commercial Director

With 30 years' experience as a property agent, Derek provides traditional commercial property advice. He specialises in development and investment markets, but his broad knowledge also spans residential and mixed-use schemes, rent reviews and all aspects of the acquisition and sale of office, retail and warehouse space in London.  Derek also heads up Opportunity UK, a specialised service for overseas clients investing in the UK.

Jonathon Woodfield - Land and New Homes

Jonathon has built a well earned reputation with developers and housebuilders over the past 30 years, advising on the sales and marketing of residential development projects across central London. More recently Jonathon has spent 3 years running an agency in Southern Spain where his land and acquisition skills came to the fore. Based at our Limehouse office, Jonathon now advises clients on development projects in East London and the Thames Gateway.
